Elisaveta Stoilova was born and raised in Varna, Bulgaria. She moved to the United States in 2000.
Immersing herself in a different and very eclectic culture while learning a new language has enriched and inspired her life beyond her wildest expectations. Painting and drawing have always been a part of her life since a very early age, when she started developing and nurturing her talent. She earned her BFA from VFU, Bulgaria and an AAS in Fashion Design from FIT, NY.
Elisaveta aspires to create bold, confident and beautiful illustrations, which tell a story, convey a feeling, provoke a thought and surprise. She loves the soft, organic feel and look of lead pencils, the unforgiving transparency of watercolor, the richness of acrylic, the solid yet light look of markers and the texture of charcoal.
Having a degree in Fashion Design and working in photography have given Elisaveta a very unique and personal perspective of what beauty is. Finding inspiration in the non-obvious and reaching below the
surface to establish her own unique style is of great importance to her. In addition to drawing Elisaveta is also an accomplished model and photographer. Her photographic portraits of models, actors and
children have garnered her much praise and attention keeping her busy when she is not modeling or drawing. She is a proud member of PETA and a devoted Vegan.
“ Being alone with a pencil and a blank sheet of paper is as intimidating as it is rewarding. “
